looking for book

okay, i want a new book to read....


anyone got any suggestions? i would like a series if possible, so that i have more than one book to look forward to.

anatomy camp

yesterday was anatomy camp, and boy was that...interesting. its basically a day long class at appalachian state, where you learn the basics of anatomy.

we did all kinds of things like learn our blood types (A+ for me), learn about finger prints, and then we learned the basic muscles and bones in the human body.

the part that made it so.....memorable was that once we learned the major parts of the body, we went and saw a cadaver. it was the freakiest thing i think ive ever seen. if youve ever taken biology, it looks and smells like a fetal pig, except for the disturbing fact that it was a real human being. amazingly, i didnt pass out, or get sick, but i did feel the urge to cry when i saw their faces. it was just the fact that the faces made it hard to pretend that they were never real people. the good thing is that i survived though, and i learned that i definitely couldnt be a doctor.

creative outlet

i decided to go ahead and make the blog for my random attempts at creativity. my first post is an old english project. we had to write a realistic fiction short story, and inject it with hints of culture. the assignment part isnt very creative, middle class white christian girl going to high school. but i think with some work, it could be okay.

mid term reflections

junior year is halfway over folks. how scary is that? i have been so totally out of it this semester, and for ap us, i really need to get my head back in the game. its just that i haven't been able to ground myself to my studies. for the first time in almost a year, im happy with how my life is going and i just want to do my own thing. my heart has mended the thousand pieces it broke into, and i know that im coming back stronger than i was before. the feeling of stepping from behind the fog is amazing, i can smile because i want to, and not because im hiding my feelings. i wake up in the mornings feeling like i could conquer the world, and just maybe, i can. i WANT to live life to the fullest and leave no rock untouched, and i want to be with the people i love most.

i haven't quite figured out where exactly im going with this new direction, but i know that the pieces will fall together.....because they have to.

new blog

in case you havent noticed, i made a new blog. i decided to delete the other one, and see if a fresh start would allow me to become more of a "blogger."


hopefully ill be able to keep this one up, and im seriously thinking about making another to be my creative outlet. this is a MAYBE.
